Srinagar: Power development department (PDD) authorities have termed the reports appearing in a section of print and social media that Watkulu Hajin village of Budgam was yet to see the electricity as baseless.
Executive engineer , PDD division Budgam , in a statement said that all the households of Watkulu Hajin is electrified.
The statement, however, said that the LT in the village needs further improvement which has bren reflected in PRI grants in the current session 2022-2023.
“The villagers are making hue and cry for no reason,” the statement said.
The statement also accused some miscreants of the village of stealing old HT poles and erecting the same themselves for which they are asking for conductor. “We are investigating where from they have stolen these poles after which FIR can be lodged against the persons involved in theft,” the statement said.
