J&K Admin refers 220 JKAS, JKPS, JKAG posts to PSC for direct recruitment  

GAD writes to commission to initiate selection process

Srinagar: The Jammu & Kashmir administration  has referred 220 vacancies of the Union Territory’s prestigious services to the Public Service Commission (PSC) for direct recruitment through the combined competitive examination-2022.

The General Administration Department on Monday referred 220 vacancies of junior scale of Jammu & Kashmir Administrative Service, J&K Police (Gazetted) Service and J&K Accounts (Gazetted) Service to the PSC for filling them.

“ The 220 vacancies in the pay band of Rs 9300-34800 with grade pay of Rs 4800(revised to level-8) are available for direct recruitment through the Combined Competitive Examination…,” reads the letter written by GAD to PSC, a copy of which is in the possession of Precious Kashmir.
In the communique, the GAD has requested the PSC to initiate the process of selection of these vacancies in accordance with J&K Combined Competitive Examination Rules, 2018.
As per break-up of the vacancies, 100 slots are available in junior scale of Jammu & Kashmir Administrative Service, 70 in Jammu & Kashmir Accounts (Gazetted) Service and 50 in J&K Accounts (Gazetted) Service.
Of these vacancies, 109 are for general category candidates and remaining 111 for reserved categories.
In the communique, the GAD has also written to the PSC that four posts in the junior scale of JKAS and three posts in J&K Accounts( Gazetted) Service be earmarked for candidates from the category of physically handicapped/ disabled persons.
