“Directorate not issuing rates of fruits, vegetables only hurdle’
Srinagar: Food civil supplies and consumer affairs (FCS&CA) authorities , Baramulla on Sunday said that district has an active rate enforcement team headed by TSO Baramulla.
The team , according to statement by CA&PD , Baramulla visits through out the district in order to enforce the rates fixed by the directorate on essential items.
Besides the statement said, deputy commissioner Baramulla has also constituted Tehsil level teams for enforcement of market rates issued by the directorate , CA and PD.
The statement , however , said that the only hurdle is that the rates of fruits and vegetables have not been revised as of now.
“The rates for fruits and vegetables have been issued by the directorate in December 2021. Since the rates of these perishable items change daily, the rates at least be issued by the directorate,” the statement said.
