Srinagar: A 40-year-old man allegedly died by suicide in at Daderkoot in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
Official sources told that man identified as Farooq Ahmad Sofi son of Abdul Ahad Sofi of Daderkoot , hanged himself at his home on Thursday. The family members of the man, after spotting him hanging, immediately rushed him to the DH Kulgam where doctors declared him brought dead.
“Farooq was working as a Labour and it was not immediately known as to why he took this extreme step , the official said .
Meanwhile, police have registered a case under 174 CrPc and taken up further investigations in this regard, the official added.
