Jack n Jill tiny tots celebrate World Health Day

Srinagar: World Health Day was celebrated at Jack and Jill school Sanatnagar, Srinagar on Thursday.
During the programme, the children studying in the school were sensitiszed about how to remain healthy. Children were also made aware about importance of eating nutritious foods including vegetables and fruits.

Teachers during the program also made students aware about the ills of junk food. On the occassion children were also told about do’s and don’ts of how to remain healthy.

Besides teachers, children also spoke on the good and bad foods and eating habits. Children were also taught various health tips as to what to do during sneezing and how to wash hands. Many speakers including teachers and children talked about the importance of hygiene to remain healthy.

Later during the day many activities were pursued in classrooms to reiterate the importance of healthy eating habits. Children on the occassion promised to stop junk foods and make exercise a daily routine.

Principal of the school said that he believes in all-round development of the children.

“Their all round development can happen only after they are healthy and physically fit. So on world health day today we decided to educate the children about their dietary habits, nutritious foods, personal hygiene and exercise,” he said.
