Anantnag: Authorities on Thursday said that out of total 20 districts social audit is in place in 13 districts.
The districts where social audit is in place, according to statement , include Shopian, Kishtwar, Doda, Bandipora, Kuthua, Ganderbal, Srinagar, Budgam, Riasi , Baramulla and Anantnag.
For rest of the districts, the statement said, recruitment process has started and social audit teams will be in place soon.
Statement said that the government keeping in view the significance of independent social audits, has established the social audit unit, department of Rural Development and PR for smooth conduct of social audit of MGNREGA and other flagship programmes.
In the financial year 2019-2020, JKSAU had planned for 1344 GPs to be audited atleast once in a year and has audited 788 GPs so far.
Similarly statement said, FY 2020-2021, 1973 GPs had been planned to be audited and 1161 GPs have been audited and in FY 2021-22 social audit of all the planned GPs has been competed and uploaded on MIS.
Stetement said that directorate of social audit is a fully functional unit now and will soon be covering all the districts of J and K.
