Srinagar: District administration Kupwara on Tuesday said that the issue of mining in Nallah punn of Kupwara is sub-judice as the contractor to whom the mining at various spot had been leased to has moved the court.
Assistant commissioner Revenue Kupwara , in a report submitted to the information department Jammu has said that the lease holder approached the court and returned with an order directing the administration not to interfere in the mining activity carried out by him in the said blocks.
The grievance with regard to the illegal mining in the said blocks had been highlighted by the inhabitants of the area.
