Srinagar: Revenue authorities on Thursday said that the department is working on the eviction of state land via a proper procedure.
In response to a report published in a section of press regarding the encroachment of Shamilat and Khacharai land, Tehsildar Karnah in a statement said that the statement regarding the eviction of said lands is submitted on monthly basis to the office of the worthy deputy commissioner Kupwara.
Keeping in view the retrieval matter of Shamilat and Khacharai , the statement said, ” This office has issued an order in this regard vide No. TK/OQ/ 655 dated 21.02.2022 that the progress of the eviction of Kacharai and state land may be submitted on weekly basis that the work on eviction may be expedited.
The statement further said that the total Khacharai land in Tehsil Karnah is 8623 kanals from which 509 kanals and 16 marlas has been evicted so far.
