Srinagar: The Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) on Friday said that door to door waste collection and removal of waste from roads has resumed after the raods were cleared from the snow.
The man force (Safaiwallas) after the snowfall were assigned the job to clear snow from footpaths, important public places, ration ghats, hospital premises, lanes and bylanes on 23rd and 24th of February, Chief Sanitation Officer of SMC said.
Assigning them the job of snow clearance led to suspension of the door to door garbage collection, he said.
The Chief Sanitation Officer, Srinagar Municipal Committee in a statement said that the waste management including door to door waste collection and removal of waste from roads resumed on Friday in full swing.
