Jammu: A drug peddler allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself in police custody at Police Station Hiranagar in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Police said that the drug peddler identified as Sunil Verma, 32, resident of Ghagwal, on Sunday morning hanged himself in the custody.
He was arrested on February 3 under NDPS Act.
“He was a habitual drug peddler and was also an addict,” said police.
“The body was shifted to the hospital for postmortem,” they said. (UNI)
