Come up to people’s expectations: ADGP Security to officers

Conducts Darbar of JKAP 4th Security battalion

Jammu: In a bid to address the grievances of officers and officials of JKAP 4th Security Battalion Channi Himat Jammu, Additional Director general of Police (ADGP) Security, J&K, Dr S. D. Singh Jamwal Tuesday conducted a Darbar of JKAP 4th Security Battalion at Channi Himat Jammu.

According to a statement, about 100 officers and officials participated in the Darbar.

The darbar was aimed at taking stock of the functioning and welfare of cops of the unit.

On his arrival at Battalion Hqrs, Dr S.D.Singh Jamwal was accorded a warm welcome by the Unit Administration. Ashok Kumar SSP Commandant joined by other Gazetted officers received the ADGP.

On the commencement of Darbar, Ajaz Ahmad DySP welcomed him.

Later, Ashok Kumar SSP Commandant JKAP 4th Security expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the ADGP for his visit to the Unit and encouraging the morale of its officers and men.

He gave a brief resume relating to issues of his Unit. He expressed his thanks to ADGP by encouraging the Battalion by way of sanctioning Cash rewards with CCs, DGPs Medal with Certificates to the Unit personnel from time to time and Cash reward and the DGP Medal to one L/Ct Syeda Akhter of JKAP 4th Security battalion who stood third in all India Hindi Debate Competition on the Human Right held in the year 2020.

Thereafter, the Darbar proceedings were started followed by inspection of the Unit premises. The ADGP was accompanied by R.P.Singh Staff Officer and Farooq Ahmad DySP Pvt. Secretary.

At the outset, all the personnel present in the Darbar were appreciated for their significant role in discharge of their responsibility and duties assigned to them from time to time.

They were exerted upon to exhibit high sense of responsibility while discharging the security duties.

The participants were further stressed upon to maintain high standard of discipline which is the hall mark of the belt force. He advised them to work with dedication and sincerity and always come up to the expectations of the people whom they serve in any manner.

During Darbar, various administrative issues came under discussion. The ADGP assured that the genuine issues shall be redressed on merit. He advised the supervisory officers at all level to patiently hear the grievances of the subordinates whosoever approaches them for redressal of their grievances and take appropriate action on genuine issues.

The ADGP further appealed all the officers and men present in the Darbar to strictly adopt Covid Appropriate behaviour and also explain its relevancy to their near and dear ones.

On the conclusion of Darbar, Ajaz Ahmad DySP JKAP 4th Security Bn. presented vote of thanks. He expressed his gratitude to the ADGP for his visit to the unit and encouraging the unit officers and cops on the occasion and compassionately hearing their genuine problems.
