Srinagar: Border Security Force (BSF), an elite force of the country was raised on 1st Dec 1965 with primary responsibility to safeguard the international borders, has completed 56 years of its dedicated, distinguished and glorious service to the nation.
On the occasion of BSF Raising Day, a cultural Programme and Barakhana was organized for BSF veterans and all posted BSF personnel of Ftr HQ BSF, Kashmir as well as troops of STC BSF, Kashmir.
BSF Raising Day was celebrated with great zest and zeal at frontier headquarters BSF Kashmir.
Presently, the BSF, the largest border guarding force of the world is guarding international border the Indo-Pak Border, Indo-Bangladesh border and also deployed on internal security of the country with full devotion.
For last one week, hordes of programs were organized at different locations of BSF deployment in Kashmir including public outreach programs with border population.
