6.1 Magnitude Earthquake Jolts Northeast, Tremors Felt In Kolkata

Kolkata: Kolkata felt tremors of a massive earthquake of magnitude 6.1 that jolted the India-Myanmar border region early morning on Friday.
The earthquake was at a depth of 30 km (18.64 miles) and was about 126 km southeast of Aizawl in northeastern India.
According to National Centre for Seismology the earthquake occurred at 05:15:38 IST, Lat: 22.77 & Long: 93.23, Depth, 12 Km about 73 km SE of Thenzawl, Mizoram.
The tremors were felt in Manipur, Mizoram, Assam and some parts of West Bengal.
No injuries or damage to property was reported after the quake.
