Ganderbal: A dozen villages sans public transport facility in Ganderbal due to dilapidated condition of Chappergund-Gutlibagh road.
At least 12 villages in Ganderbal district continue to be deprived of public transport facilities due to bad condition of Chappergund-Gutlibagh road.
Locals said that the two kilometer Chappergund-Gutlibagh road is in dilapidated condition since it is long and full of mud and potholes, “but no one from the administration is initiating any steps to construct or maintain the road.”
Locals said that they did not have any public transport facilities for the last 3 months and are suffering immensely due to the dilapidated condition of the road.
“The transport vehicles are taking alternative routes to reach their destinations as the main road is full of mud and potholes,” locals said.
Locals appealed to the administration to repair this road as soon as possible.
Meanwhile, locals of the area urged LG Governor and DC Ganderbal to look into the matter at the earliest so that they can heave a sigh of relief.
An official said that they will look into the matter at an earliest and take possible steps immediately. (KNO)
