Ramban: 2 killed, 8 injured as truck rams into 4 vehicles

Jammu: Two persons were killed and eight others suffered injuries when a rashly driven truck rammed into four vehicles on Jammu-Srinagar national highway in Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Senior Superintendent of Police Ramban PD Nitya said that at about 1430 hours a truck on way from Jammu to Kashmir hit a tempo, a car and two passenger taxies at Magarkot.

Two persons died in the mishap and eight sustained injuries.

The truck driver is on run but special team have been created to nab him, said the SSP.

The deceased were identified as Jatinder Singh, 35, son of Arjeet Singh and his daughter Nardeep Kour, 4, residents of Tral, Kulgam.

The injured persons are Ranveer Kour, Jaswinder Singh of Una, HP, Bhagwan Dass of Halwagan, teh Ramsoo, Waseem Ahmad of Pattan Baramulla, Taj Din of Ameernagar, Doda, Rafiya Bano of Ameernagar Doda, Mohd Ashraf of Noorabad, Doda and Shamima Bano of Noorabad, Doda.

The injured have been admitted to SDH Banihal and PHC Ramsoo. (UNI)
