Police facilitate meeting with families of slain cops in Ganderbal

Srinagar: In order to express solidarity and perceive the well-being of the families of the slain policemen, Ganderbal police on Sunday facilitated an interaction meeting with families of slain cops, who had laid down their lives in the line of duty.

A police spokesman in a statement issued here said that the meeting was held at DPL Ganderbal while following social distancing norms and other protocols.

On the occasion, DySP DAR Ganderbal and other senior officers were also present.

During interaction with families of slain policemen, the police officers listened to their grievances patiently and assured them that their genuine problems will be taken up at appropriate level for timely redressal.

Officers emphasised on them to consider police department as a family and share their problems especially in case of exigencies.

Expressing their gratitude, the officers added that J&K police will always remain indebted to these slain who helped a great deal in creating the atmosphere of peace and tranquility in J&K.

The family members of the slain expressed satisfaction and hoped to further strengthen this bond.
