BJP will form next Govt in J&K: Raina

Srinagar: Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) Jammu and Kashmir president, Ravinder Raina on Friday said the “next government in Jammu and Kashmir will be of the BJP and they will have a BJP chief minister.”

“I am sure the way the BJP is moving forward in all directions here, the next government will be of the BJP and we will have a BJP chief minister, ” Jammu and Kashmir president of BJP Raina said in Srinagar on the sidelines of Bhaviya Pooja at Shankaracharya temple in Srinagar.

He said assembly elections will be held in J&K soon after the delimitation process.

“After the process of delimitation is completed, the elections will take place and an elected government will be sworn-in,” he added.

Raina also hit out at Pakistan for its refusal to allow the airspace to be used for Srinagar-Sharjah flight.

“By not allowing this flight, it has proved that Pakistan is the biggest enemy of the people of Kashmir,” he remarked.

“Direct flights were started for Kashmiris by our government. But, Pakistan’s position of closing its airspace shows that Pakistan can never be a friend or a sympathiser of the people of J&K. Flights will still go from Srinagar to Sharjah and not through the Pakistan airspace but a longer route,” Raina added.

The BJP J&K president said the world has seen Pakistan’s deeds and intentions.

“This is a big deception. Pakistan has always bloodied Kashmir and brought destruction here. However, we will foil all its evil designs,” he said. (UNI)
