Srinagar: One person killed and four others injured in separate road accidents in Kashmir valley on Monday.
An official source said, a 32-year-old person identified as Nasir Ahmad Khan killed and three others sustained injuries when their vehicle in which they were travelling skidded off the road and fell into the deep gorge at Nachaya –Karnah in frontier Kashmir district of Kupwara.
He said the injured were identified as Iqbal Ahmad Awan, Altaf Ahmad Awan and Ashiq Hussain Bhat were shifted to sub district hospital Tangdhar for treatment.
The vehicle suffered extensive damage, the sources said.
Meanwhile, a motorcyclist was critically injured when he met with an accident at Warpora in apple township of Sopore in Baramulla district today.
The injured person identified as Mushtaq Ahmad Sofi of Bandipora was shifted to a nearby hospital from where he was shifted to SKIMS Soura in Srinagar for special treatment, the sources added.Â
