Srinagar: General Officer Commanding of Srinagar based sensitive 15 Corps Lt Gen D P Pandey on Sunday said he was hopeful that Kashmiri society would expose those involved in the civilian killings.
“The killings are condemnable and I am confident that our Kashmiri society will go after them and expose those people who want to create a communal divide in this beautiful valley,” the Lt Gen Pandey said in his first reaction on the recent spree of civilian killings in Kashmir. The killings has triggered panic among the minorities in Kashmir.
Lt Gen Pandey while speaking on the sidelines of a function in Baramulla said the reason behind such killings was that there has been a peaceful atmosphere and many positive activities have been happening across the valley.
“You know that from the last six months or one year how many activities have happened in a positive direction. It is obvious that the enemies of our country and people are really feeling the heat and they want to incite the people. I am sure all the communities will sit together and jointly uncover the enemies of the country,” he said.
