LG Sinha pays tributes to freedom fighter Varma on his birth anniversary

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Lt Governor Manoj Sinha on Monday paid tributes to revolutionary freedom fighter Shyamji Krishna Varma on his 164th birth anniversary.
Remembering the freedom fighter, lawyer and journalist who had founded the Indian Home Rule Society, Mr Sinha said his thoughts patriotic fervor will continue to inspire generations to come.
In a tweet on official twitter of LG, Mr Sinha said “ Remembering revolutionary freedom fighter,Shri Shyamji Krishna Varma on his birth anniversary who made exemplary contribution towards India’s freedom struggle. His thoughts, patriotic fervor will continue to inspire generations to come. Humble tributes to him”.
Born on October 4, 1857 at Mandvi, Shyamji Krishna Varma was an Indian revolutionary fighter, an Indian patriot, lawyer and journalist who founded the Indian Home Rule Society, India House and The Indian Sociologist in London.
A graduate of Balliol College, Varma was a noted scholar in Sanskrit and other Indian languages who died on March 30, 1930 at Geneva Switzerland.
