DGP sanctions Rs 13.47 lakh for 202 wards of policemen

Srinagar: Director General of Police (DGP) Dilbagh Singh on Tuesday sanctioned over Rs 13.47 lakh scholarship in favour of 202 wards of serving personnel of Jammu and Kashmir police, a police spokesman said this evening.

He said DGP has sanctioned over Rs 13.47 lakh in favour of 202 wards of serving police personnel who have secured 80 per cent and above marks in the Annual examination of Class 12th during the Academic Session 2020-21 out of Central Police Welfare Fund.

He said Rs 6000 each has been sanctioned in favour of 113 students who have secured more than 90 per cent marks while eighty-five students who have secured 80 per cent and above marks has been given Rs 6000 each.

During the current year till date over Rs 1.21 crore have been sanctioned in favour of 2120 wards of Police personnel who have achieved above 80 per cent marks in the annual examination of class 10th, 12th and graduation for the academic of session 2020-21.
