Srinagar: An encounter has been broke out between militants and security forces in Watrina village of North kashmir’s Bandipora district on Sunday morning.
A senior police officer who is a part of this operation told News agency—Kashmir news observer(KNO), that security forces including Army and central Reserve police force (CRPF), launched a cordon and search operation following the the presence of militants.
He said that as security forces approach the suspected spot, the hiding militants opened fire on them leading an encounter.
The official said that exchange of gunfire is going on both sides however there was no causality on either side. More Reforcememt has rushed to the spot.
However sources said that two to three militants are believed to be trapped in the area—(KNO)
