Srinagar: A woman was among two persons killed and another injured when an oil tanker hit a motorcycle at Nowgam bypass in the outskirts of Srinagar on Thursday afternoon.
Official sources said an oil tanker hit a motorcycle at Nowgam chowk in Srinagar outskirts this afternoon. Three persons identified as Yasir Aziz Dar, Qamia Showkat and Shoib Tanveer Bhat were injured.
The injured were rushed to hospital where Yazir, son of Abdul Aziz Dar, resident of Awantipora, Qamia daughter of Showkat Ahmad Khan, resident of Pulwama were declared dead. Another injured Shoib, son of Tanveer Ahmad, resident of Pulwama was referred to Srinagar for specialized treatment.
Police has registered a case and started investigation, they said.
