Their entry an important step in the party’s overall growth: Alam
Srinagar: Former Congress leader Syed Najeeb Naqvi from Uri and former Deputy Secretary Assembly Farooq Sanai on Wednesday joined Peoples Conference at party headquarters here with PC chairman Sajad Gani Lone welcoming the duo into the fold.
As per the party spokesman, besides party chairman Sajad Gani Lone senior leaders who welcomed the new entrants are Abid Ansari, Raja Aijaz, Khurshid Alam, Abbas Wani, Sheikh Imran, Adnan Ashraf and Mudasir Karim.
Alam while welcoming the new leaders in the party said that it is encouraging to witness political leaders, social activists, and people from academic and administrative background in droves joining the Peoples Conference. He said that such scenes are inspiring the party leadership to scan new horizons with eager hope and work even harder to provide people a transparent, people-friendly, and accountable political system.
Syed Najeeb Naqvi while announcing his entry into the Peoples Conference said that the primary reason for him to join PC was its dynamic and energetic leadership which is providing a viable alternative to decades-old political system in Jammu and Kashmir.
