LG Sinha motivates Kashmir’s ‘Generation-Next’ to utilize their energies in positive way

Srinagar: To encourage and motivate Kashmir’s ‘Generation-Next’ to utilize their energies in a positive way,    Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Sunday felicitated as many as 46 young achievers from various fields, including health, education, sports, adventure sports, social work, journalism, environment conservation, art, music, women empowerment, etc. at SKICC here for their outstanding work in different fields.

“Young leaders facilitate creation of a prosperous society that did not exist before. The young leaders, young minds can alone solve the entire world’s great problems and generate more ideas and resources to confront the future challenges”, LG Sinha said, while felicitating the achievers.
It’s in place to mention here that during the past 2-years, the J&K Government has launched many youth oriented schemes to empower them. Youngsters are being provided with platforms to showcase their talent. They are being provided with training, technique and financial assistance to start their own ventures.
“Felicitating young achievers for their success is a part of the government’s mission to encourage the Generation Next to aim high for achieving something big in their lives,” said an official.
He said the youngsters, who were honoured by the Lieutenant Governor, have done remarkable things in their fields. “These youth can become role models and help others to chase their dreams. The focus of the administration is on youth as avenues and opportunities are being created for them to build their careers and lives. Their energies are being channelized in a positive way so that they become responsible citizens,” the official added.
LG Sinha while addressing the youth at SKICC here  said that during the course of his regular interactions with the youth in the last 13 months, he has noted that the youth of J&K have five important priorities today- first, they should get jobs according to their qualifications; secondly, they should get ample opportunities and handholding to become entrepreneurs; third, access to modern education in consonance with market requirements and dynamically changing skillsets; fourth, implementation of good governance practices and elimination of corruption completely from the system and their fifth priority is to have the opportunity to lead a healthy, peaceful, and secure life.
In the past two years the Jammu and Kashmir administration has announced nearly 20,000 government jobs and the process is on to fill in the vacancies. On the other hand many big houses of the country have expressed their willingness to invest in J&K.
According to the officials many proposals are under consideration and few have already got the nod. “The J&K administration is working hard to create new avenues for youth in every field and results are visible,” they added.
