Srinagar: Inhabitants of Alfarooq Colony Rawalpora bypass in Srinagar here have complained of acute drinking water scarcity, appealing the concerned department to fulfill their demands at an earliest.
The residents said that they have been facing acute water scarcity since long while the concerned department is acting as mute spectator.
“Despite facing acute water scarcity, the department is further adding to our miseries by laying a fresh 3-inch pipeline through our colony to new residents, living at the other end of the colony,” they said.
“Ironically, the old residents have been provided only one and a half inch pipeline catering to around 130 households,” they said, while appealing the Chief Engineer to argument the supply.
Being paid consumers, we reserve the right for better service; they said and appealed the concerned to take immediate and swift cognizance so that the residents could heave a sigh of relief.
