J&K records 110 new cases

Srinagar: Union Territory (UT) Jammu and Kashmir recorded 110 fresh COVID positive cases during the past 24 hours.

There was no report of death or fresh mucormycosis case in the UT, an official spokesman said this evening.

He said 110 new positive cases have been reported– 27 from Jammu Division and 83 from Kashmir Division—during the past 24 hours.

However, 115 more COVID-19 patients– 31 from Jammu Division and 84 from Kashmir Division—have recovered. No new confirmed case of mucormycosis has been reported today, till now a total of 45 confirmed cases have been reported in the UT of J&K.

In the Kashmir valley, where class 10th and 12 class besides some coaching centers were allowed to reopen with some restrictions.

The highest number of COVID positive cases in Kashmir has been reported in Srinagar 57 followed by Badgam 13, Kupwara and Baramula three each, Ganderbal two and one in Pulwama. Anantnag , Bandipora and Shopian have no COVID positive case during the past 24 hours, he said.

People are urged to rely only on the information released by the government through the daily media bulletin to print & electronic media. People are advised to refrain from spreading rumours and pay no heed to them at the same time, he added. (UNI)
