2 houses gutted in fire at Khari Ramban

Jammu, Sep 5: Two houses and one grocery shop on Sunday gutted in a fire incident in Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Police here said that at about 1330 hours, fire suddenly broke out into two residential houses at Bharehalla Mangat Kahri.

The two houses belong to Mohammad Ramzan Wani and Bashir Ahmed Wani and a Kiryana shop owned by Bashir Ahmed at Bharehalla Mangat, also caught the fire.

In the incident both the residential houses and the shop got completely gutted.

“A total of six families were residing in these two houses,” police added and said that on receiving information a police party along with Army rushed to the spot and with the active support of Army and locals fire was brought under control at about 1700 hours.

Pertinently, no loss of human life has been reported in the incident.
