Baramulla, Sep 5: A National Conference (NC) panch was found dead under suspicious circumstances in apple township of Sopore in this north Kashmir on Sunday, official sources said.
Panic gripped in village Ladoora, Sopore, when the body was found today.
Later, police took away the body, the sources said, adding that the deceased was identified as Mehraj-uddin Mir, NC panch.
The cause of the death was being ascertained, they said. The police have registered a case and started investigations.
