Boy drowns to death in Nallah Sindh

Ganderbal: A 14-year-old boy drowned to death while he was taking a bath in Nallah Sindh at Watulbagh Lar area of Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal on Friday evening.

Officials said that a 14-year-old boy identified as Zaher Ahamd Khan, son of Mohammad Sultan Khan of Urpush was bathing in Nallah Sindh when he drowned.

They said that police, SDRF Unit Ganderbal and locals have started a rescue operation but couldn’t save his life.

The body has been shifted to District Hospital Ganderbal, officials said, adding that the body was handed over to the family after completion of legal and medical formalities. (KNO)
