Increase revenue realization to achieve targets: Admin to Fin deptt officials

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir’s Chief Secretary Arun Kumar Mehta has directed officials that revenue realization by each department should increase and regular review meetings shall be taken to achieve revenue realization targets.

These directions were passed by the CS during a meeting held by him on August 11 with top officials of the Finance department to discuss certain issues.

“Revenue realization by each department should increase and continuous review meetings be taken with the departments so that revenue realization is achieved as per the targets fixed,” read the minutes of the meeting.

The meeting was attended by Director Budgets, Director Finance (Resources)and Deputy Director Budgets.

Mehta was also holding the charge of Financial Commissioner, Finance department when the meeting was held.

In the meeting, the CS also directed that instructions shall be issued to all the deputy commissioners /chief planning officers that any deviation in work allotment without e-tendering as admissible under rule shall invited disciplinary action and such cases shall be referred to investigating agencies for appropriate action.

The CS also directed officials of the Finance department that receipt from various ministries shall be followed vigorously with each ministry for release of pending central share under all the centrally sponsored schemes.

“Re-imbursement claims shall be followed with the MHA, Government of India and all the pending claims settled by this week, especially claims under migrant salary component of SRE,” read the record note.

The officials were also directed that proposals for loan/ funding of Jammu and Kashmir Infrastructure Development Finance Corporation (JKIDFC) shall be moved immediately for expediting completion of the projects as per timeline.

JKIDFC was set-up in 2018 to raise loans up to Rs 8,000 crore to fund completion of over 6000 languishing projects.
