38 JKAS officers to attain superannuation in 2022

Srinagar: As many as 38 Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service (JKAS) are attaining superannuation in 2022.

Details available with The Precious Kashmir reveal that 38 JKAS officers are attaining age of superannuation during the calendar year 2022, as per their Date of Birth (DoB) records available in the General Administration Department (GAD).

Those hanging up boots include Gazzanfar Ali and Showkat Aijaz, who have served at key administrative positions during their bureaucratic career.

Gazzanfar Ali ( Director Youth Services and Sports), has held coveted positions like Director Rural Development department, Commissioner Srinagar Municipal Corporation. He is completing his bureaucratic innings on April 30, 2022.

Showkat Aijaz Bhat (Commissioner, Sales Tax department), who has served as Deputy Commissioner of Kulgam and Ramban districts, is retiring on May 31, 2022.

The other officers retiring next year include MM Rehman Ghasi, Farooq Ahmad Shah, Ravinder Kumar Bhat Anu Radha Rani,Muzaffar Ahmad Pir, Angrez Singh Rana , Muhammad Yosouf Mir, Mohammad Saleem, Pritam Lal Atri, Bashir Ahmad Lone , Tilak Raj Sharma,  Babu Ram ,Inam –ul- Haq Sidiqui, Gul Hassan Kraipak, D C Bhatti, Attar Chand , Abdul Majeed Lone, Muhammad Yousuf  Malik, Shabir-ul-Hassan, Sat Paul Bavouria,Muhammad Ashraf Dhobi, Zubair Hussain Shah, Tserinq Mutup, Ashok Kumar Dogra,Amreet Singh, Muhammad Assadullah Rather, Muhammad Akbar Bhat, Rakesh Kumar Vaid, Subash Chander, Amar Jyoti Raina,Shashi Bala, Rafiq Ahmad Lone, Surender Lal Baghat, Johar Ali,  Javaid Ahmad Reshi and Muhammad Yaqoob Malik.

It is worthwhile to mention that the cadre strength of JKAS is over 1000. The last addition to JKAS cadre was 99 posts created for the Registration department.

With addition of these posts, the cadre strength of JKAS reached 1033.

Of which 713 are senior cadre posts, 178 are deputation reserve, 71 each posts are training reserve and leave reserve.

The vacancies of JKAS- considered as the most prestigious service of J&K- are filled through direct recruitment and promotion.
