Journo held with 2 hand grenades in Sgr: Police

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir police on Tuesday arrested a journalist and claims to have recovered two hand grenades from his possession here.

A police spokesman said a journalist identified as Adil Farooq Bhat, son of Farooq Ahmad Bhat, resident of Khrew Pampore, was arrested from Lal Chowk area of the civil lines. Two live hand grenades were recovered from his possession, he said.

Police said, investigation was going on and more arrests were expected.

Earlier during the day, a grenade attack by militants on a bunker vehicle of SSB left seven persons injured in Hari Singh High Street (HSHS) in the city. (UNI)
