Rahul Gandhi pays obeisance at Mata Khirbhawani temple

Srinagar: Congress leader and Member Parliament (MP) Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday paid obeisance at Mata Khirbhawani temple in the central Kashmir district of Ganderbal.
Gandhi reached the shrine this morning and paid obeisance at one of the holiest shrines of the Kashmiri Pandit (KP) community in the valley devoted to Ragnya Devi, a Hindu Goddess.
Former Congress leader spent some time in the shrine, where spring changes colours as per the situation.
A large number of security forces were deployed in and outside the temple as a precautionary measure to prevent any law and order problem.
Gandhi arrived here on Monday afternoon on a two-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir. This is his first visit after August 5, 2019, when the centre abrogated Article 370, 35 A of the Indian constitution and bifurcated the Jammu and Kashmir into two Union Territories (UT).
The Gandhi scion and other opposition party leaders went back to Delhi after landing at Srinagar International Airport after the special status of the J&K were withdrawn.
