Ganderbal: As the water level increased in Nallah Sindh in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district, the district administration Ganderbal on Tuesday issued an advisory for the people living in nearby areas.

As per the advisory, the people living in the nearby areas of Nallah Sindh have been asked to remain vigilant and take precautions. The visitors to Kangan have been asked to avoid bathing or swimming in Nallah Sindh for their safety.

The advisory issued by Additional District Magistrate Ganderbal reads, “it has been observed that from last few days because of rise in temperature people are carelessly bathing in the Nallah Sindh/Canals which is evident from the recent unfortunate incidents that lead to the loss of precious lives.”

“Accordingly, all the Tehsildars of District Ganderbal are hereby directed to instruct the field staff including the Lumberdars and Chowkidars to intimate the general public residing along the embankments and visitors visiting the places around the Nallah Sindh and other water bodies/canals to remain extra vigilant and avoid bathing in them for the safety of their precious lives,” It added.
