Srinagar: Out of 10 districts in Kashmir division, eight districts have completed 100 percent vaccination of all the people above 45 years of age while Kupwara and Srinagar districts are yet to achieve the feat.

As per the data available, out of 10 districts in Kashmir division, just two districts are yet to achieve the feat and rest eight districts have already completed the feat.

The eight districts which have completed the 100 percent vaccination include Anantnag, Kulgam, Pulwama, Shopian, Budgam, Baramulla, Bandipora and Ganderbal.

In Srinagar, so far 82.96 percent of the people above 45 have been vaccinated so far while 78.41 percent people have been vaccinated so far in Kupwara.

It is pertinent to mention here that J&K administration has already missed two deadlines in completing vaccination of people above 45 years of age.

Officials said that the vaccination process is going on in full swing and very soon the population above 45 will be completed.

They said that people were hesitant a bit earlier that is why the vaccination process is taking more time.

Notably, vaccination process has been ramped up in both Kupwara and Srinagar from last few days as thousands of people have been vaccinated in twin districts in last two weeks. (KNO)
