Srinagar: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir Range, Vijay Kumar on Friday visited family of a policeman who was killed by unidentified militants near his residence at Saidapora area of Eidgah Srinagar.
The policeman, Javaid Ahmad, according to police was posted as Personal Security Officer (PSO) with a retired judge. At the time of incident, police said he was at home on leave.
“IGP Kashmir along with DIG CKR Srinagar & SSP Srinagar visited family of Javaid Ahmad and paid heartfelt condolence to the bereaved family members,” police said in a tweet.
“IGP Kashmir also assured that Police is always at the forefront to help the families of martyrs.”
