Ganderbal: A 25-year-old girl died after she consumed leaves of poisonous plant in Kangan area of Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Thursday.
An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the girl consumed leaves of a poisonous plant unintentionally following which she was taken to Sub-District Hospital Kangan for treatment.
The doctors at SDH Kangan referred her to SKIMS where she breathed her last, the official said, adding that the body was handed over to her family for last rites after all legal formalities.
Meanwhile, police have taken the cognizance of the matter.
