Srinagar: The J&K Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday assured the Medical Faculty Forum (MFF) of GMC Anantnag of augmenting the faculty of the college to keep pace not only with teaching and training students but also to ensure better patient care.
MFF is an association of the permanent faculty members of the medical college.
The issue, MFF said in a statement, was taken up with the LG by the president of the association, Dr Nazir Ahmad Wani.
The MFF said that the LG on spot directed the Principal of GMC to fill up the posts of various categories lying vacant in the hospital.
“Dr Nazir on behalf of MFF thanked LG and expressed his gratitude for his personal visit to GMC Anantnag to boost the morale of the healthcare workers,” the statement said.
The LG, according to the statement sought first hand detailed information about the various activities regarding patient care  especially about the management of COVID-19 patients.
