Renowned Islamic scholar Mufti Faiz-ul-Waheed passes away 

Jamm: A renowned Jammu-based Islamic scholar Mufti Faiz-ul-Waheed, who was admitted at Acharaya Shri Chander College of Medical Science (ASCOMS) Jammu passed away on Tuesday morning.

Mufti Faiz-ul-Waheed, who was born in 1966 in Rajouri’s Dodhasan Bala, is recognised with becoming the first Islamic scholar to translate the Holy Quran into Gojri.

Additionally, the scholar has authored several other pamphlets, including ‘Siraj-um-Muneera’, ‘Ahkam-e-Mayyat’, and ‘Namaz Kae Masayil Quran-o-Hadees Ki Roshni Mei’.

The renowned scholar and authority on Fiqh – Islamic Jurisprudence (Sharia Law) – in Jammu is also the patron of an Islamic seminary, Madrasa Markaz Maarif Ul Quran, located in Medina Hill, Bhatindi, Jammu.

According to officials, the religious preacher who was on ‘life-supporting system with multiple organ failure’ at Jammu hospital breathed his last today.
