Centre drops Plasma therapy from it’s COVID-19 treatment protocol

New Delhi The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), centre’s National Task Fprce for COVID-19 on Monday revised the guidelines for the management of adult patients and dropped off label use of convalescent plasma for treatment.
Previous guidelines recommended plasma therapy within seven days of the onset of symptoms.
The decision was taken as the government was not found beneficial in reducing the progression to severe disease or death.
