Srinagar: Amid spike in COVID-19 cases across Jammu and Board, the Board of Technical Education (BOTE) on Friday postponed all examinations till further orders.
In this regard an order was issued by the BOTE secretary, Engineer Mahmood Ahmad, a copy of which lies with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO).
“All principals and students are notified that the examinations in all polytechnic colleges of 1st, 3rd, 5th and 6th semesters scheduled as per the already notified date sheet is postponed due to the present COVID-19 situation in the UT of Jammu and Kashmir,” Ahmad said.
Earlier on Thursday authorities cancelled the ongoing examination of 10th standard in Jammu division and decided to promote the students to next level as per the student performance of those subjects of which exams were conducted.
The government also ordered closure of all private coaching institutes and extended closure of all schools for physical academics till April-30 across Jammu and Kashmir.
Meanwhile, the central government on Thursday also postponed the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) that was scheduled to be held on April-18—(KNO)
