Advisors, DGP greet people on Navratra, Navreh, Ramadan

Jammu:  Advisors to Lieutenant Governor, Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar, Farooq Khan and Baseer Ahmad Khan have conveyed their greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir on the auspicious occasion of Navratras, Navreh, and Ramadan while praying for their well-being and prosperity.

In their messages, Advisors observed that the Navratras have a special importance for  lakhs of pilgrims who visit  Mata Vaishno Devi to seek blessings of the goddess. They also extended warm greetings to all Kashmiri Pandits who celebrate this auspicious day as Navreh, the beginning of the New Year and the onset of the spring.

Advisors also extended their wishes to the people on commencement of the holy month of Ramadan and hoped that this auspicious month would be a harbinger of peace, amity, communal harmony, brotherhood, progress and prosperity across J&K.

Meanwhile, Director General of Police (DGP) Dilbag Singh also extended his greetings to the police family and the people of Jammu and Kashmir and prayed for peace and tranquility in the UT.

He said the holy month of Ramadan is a period dedicated to fasting, service and prayers and highlights the values of patience, self-restraint, tolerance and austerity, which promote feelings of compassion and respect for others.

He prayed for the peace and prosperity of J&K and well-being of the people. The DGP also urged the people to follow the COVID-19 protocol and contribute in restricting the spread of the virus.
