Army raids house of detained PDP leader: Mehbooba

Srinagar: Former Chief Minister and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) president Mehbooba Mufti on Wednesday alleged that troops of Rashtriya Rifles (RR) raided the house of senior party leader Sartaj Madni, who is under detention for the past over two months.

Mehbooba alleged that the house was turned upside down and these personnel also thrashed boys.

Taking to micro blogging site Twitter, Vice Chairperson of the Peoples Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD) Mehbooba said, “Army from RR Camp Devsar raided the house of PDPs Sartaj Madni.The place was turned upside down & these personnel also thrashed boys. Its shameful that they violated all rules & code of conduct with such impunity,”

Madani and another senior PDP leader Naeem Akhtar, former minister and spokesperson of PDP-BJP coalition government, completed two months in detention on March 15.
