Covid -19: JK records 235 new cases, no death

Jammu: Jammu and Kashmir on Monday recorded 235 new positive cases of Coronavirus.  However, no death due to Covid-19 was recorded in the region in last 24 hours.

Of the 235 new cases,  51 were from Jammu division and 184 from Kashmir division. With the fresh cases, total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir has risen to 1,30,228.

According to officials, 126 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals including 22 from Jammu division and 104 from Kashmir division.

They said out of 1,30,228 positive cases reported so far, 2,110 are Active Positive, 1,26,129 have recovered and 1,989 have died; 735 in Jammu division and 1,254 in Kashmir division.

The official said out of 59,80,072 test results available so far, 58,49,844 samples have tested negative till March 29.

Till date 14,88,288 people have been enlisted for observation which included 27,254 people in home quarantine including facilities operated by the government, 2,110 in isolation and 1,16,445 under home surveillance.

Besides, 13,40,490 persons have completed their surveillance period.
