PAGD has become joke, will no longer stand for aspirations of people: PDP leader

Srinagar:  Senior People’s Democratic Party leader and Former Rajha sabha member Fayaz Mir Sunday said People’s alliance for Gupkar declaration’s silence over ED summon on Mehbooba Mufti  cites there is no roadmap ahead.

Calling PAGD a joke, Mir said the alliance will no longer stand with the aspirations of people due to breach of various important factors especially mutual commitment.

“Proxy candidates were fielded in DDC Elections despite alliance decided to work on mutual commitment. Though people called this wrong but  results are in front of everyone,” he said.

Mir also said he and Basharat Bukhari had already said PAGD should come up with roadmap for restoration of rights of Jammu and Kashmir people.

He said PAGD leaders maintained silence on ED summon to Mehbooba Mufti.

“However when Farooq Abdullah was summoned by ED, everyone raised his voice and called it political vendetta.  The PAGD has turned itself a joke. People in Jammu and Kashmir are now aware about their tactics,” Mir added.

Notably, Mehbooba while addressing party workers convention in Budgam said that PAGD was formed for bigger cause and not only for issuing statements.(KNS)
