Srinagar: Unemployed youth with physical education degrees Friday demanded the implementation of the 2nd phase of Rehbar e Khel in Jammu and Kashmir saying that in absence of a job, some of them are facing mental issues and financial crunch to help families.
The physical education degree holders said that the government must implement the 2nd phase of Rehbar- e- Khel against the vacant posts.
“Over 3000 unemployed youth are suffering immense challenges since the physical education subjects degree holders aren’t able to apply for other jobs,” they said.
The government has already identified 7311 posts in different educational institutions under the policy of Rehbar-e- Khel of which 3000 positions were filled in the first phase.
“Ever since the recruitment in the first phase, the left out candidates are still waiting for the response of government forcing all to face immense challenges for want of employment,” they said.
The aggrieved degree holders said that government on one hand prompts sports culture while on the other hand all the deserving professional physical education candidates are made to suffer for want of employment with a number showing surge on regular basis.
They claimed that many of them are PhD holders, NET qualifies and SET degree holders of which around 112 people have crossed the age bar making it tough for them to survive and give family members a satisfactory life and education.
The aggrieved candidates have urged the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha to personally intervene in the matter—(KNO)
