Police bust fake job racket, five accused arrested in Kashmir

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir police arrested five persons, including two constable of Railway Protection Force (RPF) who were running a fake job racket in the valley, a police spokesman said on Monday.

He said on a tip off received by Police Station (PS) Baramulla that some persons were running a fake job racket, started investigation.

During the investigation police found that a gang was operating fake job racket in Srinagar, Badgam and Baramulla.

Police later arrested five persons including two constables of RPF posted at Badgam station.

Those arrested were identified as Hafizulla Lone, resident of Diver Lolab, Ashiq Hussain Naik resident of Kralgund Qazigund Kulgam, Ather-ul-Islam resident of Devar Lolab Kupwara, Ajaz ahmad lone resident of Tujer Sharif Sopore and Abdul Rashid Wani resident of Nagbal Khag Budgam, he said adding three fake and forged appointment orders in Agriculture Department were recovered from their possession.

He said case under FIR NO 17/2021 u/s 420,467,468,471/IPC.

The accused have duped many persons and collected hefty amounts against fake appointment orders.
