Militant hideout busted in Anantnag forest

Srinagar: Security forces on Sunday busted a militant hideout and recovered arms and ammunition, including three AK-56 rifles, two pistols and several grenades, in the forest area in south Kashmir district of Anantnag.
Official sources said that following specific information, a joint search operation was launched by Army and J&K Police in the forest area in Anantnag. “During the search, security forces unearthed a militant hideout and recovered three AK 56 rifles, two Chinese pistols, two grenades, telescope, AK/Pistol magazines and other incriminating material recovered,” they said.
They said the recovery was made after receiving information, during questioning, from three newly recruited militants, who were arrested by security forces in connection with firing at famous Krishna Dhaba in Srinagar on Wednesday.
