Australian Open: Djokovic, Osaka reach final

Melbourne: Top seed Novak Djokovic and the No 3-seeded Naomi Osaka reached the Australian Open final after wining their respective matches, here on Thursday.
Defending champion Djokovic eased into his ninth Australian Open final with a 6-3 6-4 6-2 win over Russia’s Aslan Karatsev.
Djokovic will face either Stefanos Tsitsipas or Daniil Medvedev in Sunday’s final.
Meanwhile, Naomi Osaka claimed an impressive victory over Serena Williams to reach the Australian Open final.
Williams, who was eyeing a record-equalling 24th Grand Slam title was beaten 6-3, 6-4 by Osaka in the semifinals.
The Japanese will face American Jennifer Brady in Saturday’s final.
